About Us

About

Employable

Creating opportunities.
Changing expectations.

We believe that people with learning disabilities and autistic people who want to work can work – with the right support.

Right now, only a 4.8% of working age people with learning disabilities known to social care and 30% of working age autistic people are in employment as opposed 82% of the non- disabled people. This is a 50-77% gap.

We’re working to change that by helping employers create inclusive workplaces and supporting individuals into meaningful jobs.

Our approach

We follow a simple, proven approach:
  • Place
Matching a candidate to an appropriate job as quickly as possible
  • Train
Support for the person to integrate and master the skills of the job
  • Maintain
Ongoing training, job support, mentoring or monitoring – whatever is required

What makes us different

  • We focus on real jobs, not just training
  • We work with both candidates and employers
  • We create supported employment hubs within existing businesses
  • We provide long-term, personalised support
